Great topic. Here I am 44 and wish my mom talked to me about those issues. But even us older ladies (what who is old!!! LOL) need to share what we have learned with our daughters and reach out to other young ladies and girls. No matter what we all have been there or will be there. Unfortunately, there are even older women and moms that feel the same as the young ladies in the video.

Hi Gina! I know I love Dove's campaign in general, very informative. They have a few that pop up on after it's finish, there's one with a little girl with red hair that just flashes media images, commercials about the obsession with being thin, plastic surgery, diet pills, etc. You are right though spending time with our girls is what is most important! I'm glad you liked it. By the way your daughter is so sweet, you can tell she is your child, just so wonderful! Take care Gina!

Great video Kara! It brings us back to reality of how our awesome girls view themselves. It happens more than we know and they think about it more than they ever realized. I really love the last comment that was made regarding the bonding time between mothers and daughters. That young woman states that those were the moments that she cherished. We as mothers need to understand we need to set that special time aside and let our young women know that we care about what they care about.
