Reflecting on how you live!

Hello EMwomen,

As I begin to envision the possibilities of 2011, I can’t help but reflect on all the changes and events in my life during 2010.  In addition to many joys, 2010 also brought sorrow.

Three very good friends who impacted my life were diagnosed with terminal cancer.  By the end of the year, their bodies had succumbed to the ravages of the disease and are now in heaven.  Yet none of them allowed the disease to define them.  All of them fought the good fight.  And all of them lived life to the fullest.  What they did with the “dash” between their birth year and 2010 was to live.  And all around them, people were watching.

As I envision 2011, I want to embody the lessons learned from these three.  To continue to develop my love for my community and act upon it; to live quietly, love others unconditionally, offer wise counsel, and walk my talk; and to be willing to submit to the transformation that God offers to me.   Because it does matter how I live.

As we continue our journey of life let 2011 be your year of  “Transformational Change” that last . We all think of New Years resolutions at this time.  
The word resolution has several synonyms including; plan, commitment and pledge. 


A few scriptures that inspire me this first day of 2011;

Come with me to a quiet place and rest.  Mark 6:31
