As those of you who have read our latest blog entries know we are working towards getting a “support & awareness” necklace or bracelet made for Aiden. The idea is for a cross made in sterling silver, “Aiden’s Cross”. The cross would be available for purchase and hopefully we will be able to work something out so that part of the proceeds can go to the Foundation for Children with Atypical HUS. They are the only entity I’ve found who help fund research for Aiden’s condition, and as most of you know it is very rare and there is very little awareness about AHUS. I have left a couple of messages with the people at Sterling Grace, a local company about the possibility of developing “Aiden’s Cross”. I have received a lot of support from those of you who have heard about the idea and had a favor to ask. Sterling Grace has an online website with a “contact us” section. If you are in support of and would be interested in purchasing “Aiden’s Cross” I wonder if you could send the folks at Sterling Grace a message and let them know. Maybe if they see that there is an interest and support from all over for Aiden, they will think it is worth their while to invest in this piece. I truly appreciate each and everyone of your love and support. If you do decide to contact them, please let me know and please be specific that you are in support of the piece for Aiden Cross who has Atypical HUS and please let them know where you are contacting them from so that they can see that Aiden has supporters far and wide!
