“In Better Hands”
By Natalie Grant
It's hard to stand on shifting sand
It's hard to shine in the shadows of the night
You can't be free if you don't reach for help
You cant love if you dont love yourself
There is hope when my faith runs out
Cause I'm in better hands now
It's like the sun is shining when the rain is pouring down
It's like my soul is flying though my feet are on the ground
So take this heart of mine there's no… Continue

Do you scrapbook or want to scrapbook? If so, you should check out the group "Scrapbookaholics". I have formed this group in hopes that all those with an interest will join and we can learn from each other new ideas and techniques. After all sometimes we just can't decide on glue or photo sticks, stickers or die cuts. Should we journal our pages by hand or use our handy computer and printer or lets really go out on a limb and use stamps. Then you have so many more decisions but I won't go there…

Thank God It's Monday! Wait... what??
Yeah, you saw it right. Mondays I actually get to stay home (not go to work) with Baby Blue and enjoy some Mommy time with her! That's not to say that I don't work, because it's also the day that I most often clean the house, take care of a large pile of laundry that built up over the last week and busy/fun weekend, and try to organize something in the house ;-)
Baby Blue usually enjoys helping me though... what a great and impressionable time!…

I put this together on photobucket.com. Part of our summer that I will share with you! I am not a big fan of the music I selected. They give you a list to choose from, and I am sure if I really knew what I was doing I could have added my own selection. Oh well…

Well its that time again. Time to pull out the pencils, calculators, notebooks, and get back to school!
For me, this year is more than just another year here in college. This year will mark many a milestone in my life. I'm going to have to strap on my best running shoes or I might not catch up.
The first milestone that this school year has brought is a new place to live. I have moved out of the house I have been living in for the past three years into an apartment. It is…

Okay, so I'm heading up the Race for the Cure team at my school. I'm SO excited! I've never been asked to really be "in charge" of something that I felt like was a big deal. This is a big deal...and I am beyond well, excited to have this opportunity. Anywho, I'm working on coming up with a team name. My school is called Forest Park so I was thinking about something along the lines of "Pink In the Park" or something more along the school spectrum like "Educate yourself" or "Forest Park...we're…

Ok, with "back to school" shopping in mind I thought I'd share a hilariously horrible experience I encountered with a certain school supply. During last school year I had been volunteering in both of my sons classrooms. I was excited to do so and blessed that my schedule allowed the time. So, this story begins with my first morning in Dylan's class. I got up early, did my hair/make-up and was set to go with my travel coffee mug in hand. We walked into the school and I started admiring all of…

Hey everyone! I'd like to report that I had a wonderful day Saturday, the day before my birthday. My husband took me out for my birthday, bought me the camera I wanted, Nikon D40, and took me to one of my favorite restaurants, Benihana! It was such a yummy dinner. After dinner we drove home, dropped stuff off and then went to see a movie. He took me to see Sisterhood of the traveling pants 2, compared to the book it wasn't that good, LOL. So, Sunday came along, the actual day of my birthday. We…

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are in a great trouble due to heavy rains and floods in our state and in some parts of India during 1st and 2nd weeks of this month. The rivers, canals and drains are flowing in their maximum (danger) level. Many low lying areas are sinking in the water. Many houses collapsed and deaths reported. This high flood loses will become more as the depression and cyclone warnings are continuing.
The River Godavari which is passing through our…

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it! I'm really dating myself, aren't I.
I just put a deposit down on a gently used Tempurpedic, queen size mattress and box! I have wanted one of these for years! I'm getting it for less than a third of the price of a brand new one. This bed looks like it just came off the show room floor. This family moved and the new house has a master king size suite, so they obviously needed a new king size…

What is LipoDissolve? This is a question that I get a lot! We do not perform LipoDissolve due to it's bogus accusations and it's lack of efficacy. Below, is just a little summation of what LipoDissolve is all about. Again, Board Certified Plastic Surgeons are required by law NOT to perform this procedure!
Lipodissolve involves a series of medicated injections that may melt away unwanted small, localized areas of fat, like love handles, upper and lower abdomen, under the chin,…

Well today is the first day of Junior High for us. My son starts the 8th grade today. I am excited for him, I remember the 8th grade that was a good year for me I met most of my good friends then. He is on the 8th grade football team for his school and really that seems to be the only thing he is excited about, but I hope that will change once he gets there and finds out he has good teachers. I can't wait to hear about his first day.

Hi Everyone,
I have arrived in Atlanta! This is going to be my fourth week living here and I absolutely love it. It’s warm, the food is good, and the people are great! I truly love Michigan, but the South has swept my heart!
My job is dynamic! Last week was the first week of school and the students are truly a blessing! I have six students who all have some type of hearing loss and I was voted by my colleagues…department chair. I love the building I work in and the people I work…

I am so excited about EMwomen. I appreciate ALL the welcome messages that I have received. I am new to the site and actually fell into the site through my best friend.
I am a devoted wife and mother two (and a bonus), living and working in Little Rock, AR. I thoroughly enjoy my family and being back in the working world. I stayed "at home" and raised my children for fiour years before returning to the financial industry in Dec. of 2006.
I am typing this post while I am…
