Malachi 3:3 says:
"He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver."
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her…

The journey continues as we search for the 2009 EMgirl (EMpowered Girl) Leader of the Year. This week, I was honored to join hundreds of teenagers at the RYLA Leadership Summit as the keynote speaker for five days of leadership training. What a joy to see so many students gather to learn about…

Have you ever heard the expression, "
Fake it 'til you make it"? It's great advice to follow if you aren't feeling confident.
When you're not feeling your best, try to look as though you are. Dress in a great outfit, take time with your hair and makeup, or pay attention to good grooming — or all three. Look your best and soon your insides will catch up with your outsides. It's true — looking great really does make you feel…

At a Valentines banquet at my church last month, I received a great little gift. Everyone who attended either received a “Lifting My Husband Through Prayer” or a “Lifting My Wife Through Prayer” card. It is such a great little reminder card! I keep it at my office so that throughout the day when I see it, I send up a quick… Continue

Those words resonate down to my core and ones that I heard my mother say many times to me growing up. Being the oldest of four children, I was always the one that received the punishment first because I was the oldest and I should have know better. My mother believed whole heartly in NOT sparing the rod to spoil the child. Spoiled was a term used in our home for something that went bad in the refrigerator and was never used in reference to us. She had a leather belt that had my dad's name…

So, my team made it to Nationals in the Fine Arts Festival (see faf.ag.org) in the human video catagory. We're so happy! This team is the second ever to be invited to Nationals in our church, but the first to be able to go. With all the excitment going around, it's sort-of hard to remember to give God the glory that he deserves. We
squeaked, I mean
squeaked by on getting to go. He let us get by for a reason. It's sort-of like he's…

IF YOU THINK
If You Think You Are Beaten, You Are.
If You Think You Dare Not, You Don’t!
If You Want To Win, but Think You Can’t,
It’s A Cinch You Won’t.
If You Think You’ll Lose, You’re Lost;
For Out In the World We Find
Success Begins With a Fellows Will;
It’s All In The State Of The Mind.
Life’s Battles Don’t Always Go
To The Stronger and Faster Man,
But Sooner Or Later the…

Working in a Non-profit business, I LEAD a variety of programs for young girls. In these programs I am constantly preaching to them that they can change the world, each and everyone one of them. If they put there mind to it, they can do anything. You can conquer any dream, if you take small steps to get there. You should be a LEADER in your community, your school, your social network.
One particular evening we were having a session on self esteem. I told them they are all beautiful, and my…

What an amazing day we had today as we had yet, another fantastic assembly for the girls of Garland County. Today we reached a gym-full of energetic girls at Cutter Morning Star High School who left with the message that "beautiful" is emerging as a word of new value and purpose in the lives of the girls of Arkansas.
Of course a highlight for me is the stories I hear after each assembly of the life stories of so many young ladies who are passionate about changing and becoming leaders…

You never know what things or events lead you or should I say push you from "glory to glory". This last weekend I was keeping my two grandsons overnight. Each boy belongs to one of my daughters and they are first cousins to the max. I like to call them "thunder and lighting". Whew...
Anyway, Trip, the oldest who is 5, said to Bear the youngest who is 4, "Look, I found this battery! Bear replies, "you better find some place to plug it in". "Ok", says Trip and bites one end very hard. About…

I know the economy is in a negative state right now and your business may be a lot less busy than usual but this is NO time to procrastinate!!
Seriously, what and where is doing that going to get you?
It surely isn't going to get you more clients, business, traffic to your website, profits or happiness.
Now IS THE TIME to take action in your business. It's time to think bigger, dream bigger, make bigger goals and take bigger leaps of faith in order to…

Now is NOT the time to sit around in your business holding on to your wallets and sitting frozen on what to do next. It's time to TAKE ACTION! No, I'm not suggesting you have to spend a lot of money either, although if you're really struggling or unsure of what to do, hiring a coach like me of course would be well worth the investment.

What I want you to look at though is your current business model. Is it the same as it was 5 years ago (or more!)? If so, I would suggest…

With a show of 'virtual hands' how many of you lovely ladies knew that March is National Women's History Month? Okay to be honest I almost forgot as well, which is truly a shame, but really how much do we hear about this wonderful month to honor, recognize and remember great women who have contributed to much to who we are today? Until a few years ago, I came across this information and was disappointed that it's not focused on more. I came…

So, do you?
Volunteering for non-profit events is one thing I really love to do. One reason is because I'm not yet in a position of extreme wealth in order to give a ton of cash donations which many organizations of course need. So, instead I volunteer my time because while that is still very precious to me, it's what I have to give and I fully believe in giving to others.
Because if you give - you will receive!
So, I encourage my clients and friends to find places…
