Are you weary? Serving with Christ-like Compassion
EM Women,
Do you need to rest?
When Jesus came to Bethsaida, he needed to rest, grieve and relax, and the last thing he needed was another large crowd of people to heal. After crossing the Sea of Gallilee the crowds were waiting for him. Did he become frustrated, angry or tell them to go away? No, his love for people overcomes his needs and he heals them with the compassion of Christ.
Mark 6:34 NIV
“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion…

We are the clay, and our hearts can be molded by Jesus
Jesus can change our hearts because he desires us to have a heart like his. Sometimes it is easy to get discouraged when we evaluate our lives, carry the burden of our hurts from the past, or take the responsibility of worrying about our future. The good news is our hearts can be molded and changed. You aren’t stuck with the person you are today. If you have traits, habits or problems that you want to transform – in God’s hands you are in the right…

Seeing yourself as God sees you.
Allow Gods love to change the way you look at you. We often base our self-concept on the accomplishments that the world has set around us. It is our accomplishments in our spiritual relationships that matter and will sustain us. Also, we often base everything that we believe about ourselves on what others are telling us we are or can be. We have been chosen and called to represent him, and that is what makes us so beautiful, and so desirable. When we see ourselves like God sees us we…

When you are overwhelmed and feel desperate - God is there
By making time to talk to God, you should know that what you say is being listened to. Your voice matters in heaven. God listens. When you are feeling alone there are often places we need to go to find uplifting words. Often when we are facing an abusive situation or what feels like an insurmountable obstacle we become overwhelmed and desperate.
One solution I have found is to turn to the Psalms for uplifting songs and prayers. Psalms 142 is a great prayer when you feel…

Will you experience an absolutely empowering week? Tips to empower you
The best way to have an empowering week is to start off Monday with a solid foundation.
This preparation begins with Friday. Set yourself up for an empowering week by closing out your week. Take inventory of what tasks you completed. Add those that you didn't complete to the list for the following week.
Here's an important thing to remember. Do not make your top 10 to do list.
Make a top 3 priority list. Among them will be at least one thing that will…

Empowering women: Barrier to Sustained Motivation
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”
Helen Keller
One of the most popular questions received during my coaching sessions and surveys is “how do I achieve sustained motivation?”
All too often it’s communicated that they start off with a bang and end with a fizz.
You can tell from their communications that it’s very frustrating and can discourage them to the point of giving…

Reflecting on how you live!
Hello EMwomen,
As I begin to envision the possibilities of 2011, I can’t help but reflect on all the changes and events in my life during 2010. In addition to many joys, 2010 also brought sorrow.
Three very good friends who impacted my life were diagnosed with terminal cancer. By the end of the year, their bodies had succumbed to the ravages of the disease and are…
