Hi Debbie,

If you have any questions about what's going on with your mom, feel free to ask. I am not a professional though. I just have some exprience in the field.
I hear what you're saying about all the negative feelings you're expriencing right now. As of right now I am keeping up with my excercising, but I'm not sure how I want to try to lose the weight. There are many options, but I think probably the only reasonable way is to eat sensibly, (which I can do to a pretty good degree), but I can't seem to get the portions under control.
I already prayed for you and I'm so glad we've communicated. Hope to hear from you soon.
God bless, Patricia

Hi Debbie,
I worked with those who suffer from Alzheimers and Dementia. I know from personal experience that it is very difficult on the family member who is a caregiver. I just want you to know that I believe it is a very wonderful thing that you are doing for your mother-in-law, but be also very careful to give to yourself as much as possible. You are worth it! I have a weight issue also and have just started working on it,slowly, short goals for now.
I pray the very best for you.
Sincerely, Patricia

Hi Debbie,
I was thinking about you, how are things going, were you able to connect with Denise? Well I'm sending warm thoughts your way. My father in law got lost going for a walk in the neighborhood where he lives at the personal care home. He ended up at a neighbors house and couldn't remember where he was going. It's so sad, he remembered my husband's number and the neighbor called and he was able to get home. It's so hard, I hope things are okay with your mother in law. Take care Debbie!!

Hugs,
Kara

Hi Debbie, Welcome to EMwomen Community! After reading your "about me" section, I feel confident in saying that you can begin to live the life that you have always dreamt of. Anything is possible when you believe that you can do things that you've never been able to do and be the woman that you have always known you can be.

As the ladies before me mentioned, I too encourage you to visit Denise Gerrich's profile and Staci Wallace's (EMwomen Founder) profile. Denise has lost 100 lbs in less than a year and she hasn't gone to a gym or received medical intervention. You too can achieve what many would say is the impossible.

Enjoy being a part of this awesome community of inspiring and encouraging women.

Hi Debbie, Thanks sooooooooooo much for reaching out, that's the first step. There are lots of women on the site who have similiar situations and stories so browsing through there profiles and introducing yourself is a start. I would look up Denise Gerrich's profile and maybe post a comment to her and tell her your story as well. I think she is in your area, so she could definetly give you some hints. Also the Founder Staci Wallace is also a great person to chat with so if you click on the member tab at the top of your page and in the search box type in there names and reach out to them. I know they are going to start local EM Circles in different areas a chance to meet in person so that's something ot check out as well. You have A LOT going on and like I said I know, but you have to take time for yourself first. I wrote about that in a blog that you can click on here, it's so important, or else we aren't good to anyone else. Also looking under the Groups section they have a weigh loss group I think that you can join as well under this website that would help. I'll try to send you some invites if you have trouble. I know that great things are coming your way, this site is awesome and I am confident that you will get the tools, meet people that will offer you that support you need. Also know that I'm here as well. Take care Debbie!

Hi Debbie!
Welcome to EMWomen!!! What a great great time to join this community as we start a wonderful New Year!! We have some amazing and inspiring women here, who are here to support and encourage you. I look forward to connecting with you as well and supporting you as you live the life of your dreams!! I know and believe that you will reach and surpass all of your goals, just take it one day at a time. I also feel for you in regards to taking care of your mother in law w/ dementia. Last year my husband and I realized that his father was suffering from dementia and we were caring for him and it was very difficult. I pray strength for you, because it is just such a hard disease to understand and care for. My father in law would wonder off to the bus stop and end of in Florida (we're in GA) with little money, no clothes or medicine. But we are just taking it a day at a time. Well anyway...Welcome..welcome..welcome Debbie we are thrilled that you are here!
