How great to meet you. Isn't the internet age just the best. We get to meet people that we probably would never have even known existed in all parts of the country and all parts of the world. I just am so blown away with all the implications, all the friends that I have made and all the networking that is made possible. It is a pleasure to meet you and I hope we get to know each other better. Miriam

Hi Stephanie!
So glad to be your friend! WOW, homeschooling 4 daughters! Bless you!!! I homeschooled my 2 all the way through. Both in college now. It is so cool when they do their entrance exams and the test scores are so amazing that the college folks really takes notice. Of course THEN you tell them they were homeschooled. It makes it worth it! You just need to know you are doing the best for your kids. God will honor you and your time. Enjoy the time with them, they grow SO fast. I'll be praying for you for patience and endurance! LOL!! Keep in touch!
Blessings, Becky

Hi Lean and Paula! Homeschooling is wonderful, but I can say that if the Lord ever opened the door for my children to attend a Christian school then that's where they'd go :)
There are days when I homeschool that I start to feel so overwhelmed that we "shut the doors" for the day and everyone does whatever they want, the ultimate FREE TIME! LOL
Most of the time when I feel "overwhelmed" its due to (1)being unorganized (2)worrying that my children are "behind" others...so it basically is my "stinkin' thinkin' that gets me into trouble.
I do less of it, but still get caught up in nonsense. If you have any words of wisdom for me I'd appreciate it :)

Thank you, Steph

Hi Christy- No, I don't have patience like a saint....I do have to pray a lot and put myself in time-out! LOL

My 13 yrs dd is just like me, so we clash quite often...but I appreciate all I've been taught through homeschooling my 4 dd.

Hello ladies! Thank you for such a warm welcome. I hope to be able to contribute weekly (more if I time allows). Laurie-thank you for the compliment on my hair cut. It's a little different now but that was my favorite cut (and color).

Kathi- homeschooling is so difficult at times, especially now that 3 of my children want to go back into the public school building. This has been a matter of prayer for me and my family.

Denise-I will check out the podcast, thank you for pointing that out to me!

I can't wait to get to know all of you, if you have anymore questions for me please just ask :)
Thanks! Steph

Hi Stephanie & welcome! So glad you joined neighbor! I'm up in MI.. and yes.. in agreement with your website.. we seemed to have a never-ending winter this year. Of course, now its great!
Its heartening to hear of your homeschooling. We homeschooled most of our "kids" lives, and loved it! They are all grown now, and doing quite well. I bet you really make use of those organizational skills you have in your business.. in your "school".
Well again, welcome.. enjoy your time on the site - you will find wonderful, encouraging and passionate women to learn from, and we are looking forward to learning from you as well. There are many groups as well to feed your interests.
Looking forward to knowing you better!
