I apologize for responding sooo late...I just moved to Atlanta! I am currently teaching sixth-eighth grade at Martin Luther King Middle School. I was recently voted Department Chair and I work in the Deaf Education department. I have six deaf or hard of hearing students. This is my sixth year teaching. What grade do you teach?
Hi! No I haven't left yet! I move Wednesday for Band camp! woot woot! Classes start on the 25th though! I'm soooo excited! Kinda just ready for a new chapter in my life, I guess!
Hi Lisha! Thanks for the encouraging words. I pray that you have a wonderful year as you prepare to return. We started workshops this past Friday and this week will be my first official week back. I do not teach, I do social work (my title is Human Services Worker) for the high school. This too is a job that is a blessing for many students and their families.
While on the high school campus, I definitely look up to teachers and the capacity that you serve in. Some of our students don't have positive role models before them at home but when they get to school, they have us. Have a blessed year and let's keep in touch. I learn from teachers, teachers learn from us.
Hey Lisha!! I enjoyed visiting with you last week. Hope you had a GREAT visit while in Arkansas. Hey,by the way who is the skinny guy with the moustache in your pictures? Keep in touch!!
