What’s your goal for 2009? Start your memoir? Finish it, perhaps? Or get published? Wherever you are in the process, you probably have questions. Now’s your chance to get your most burning question answered.
Matilda Butler, my business partner and co-author of the award-winning, collective memoir
Rosie’s Daughters: The “First Woman To” Generation Tells Its Story, and I are teaching an eight-week, online class through Story Circle Network (SCN). To give you a chance to meet us and get some useful advice on memoir writing, we’re holding a free conference call the week before our online class begins. But rather than have us set the agenda for this call, we’re inviting you to shape the content. Ask your most burning question and we’ll do our best to answer it.
The FREE call will be held Wednesday January 14, 2009 at 5PM PST. Join us for our first Women’s Memoirs Writers Conference Call and jumpstart your writing in 2009. In addition to great content, we’ll be announcing some special offers you’ll want to catch.
To ask a question, go to our blog post
“Burning Questions Answered for Free” and post your questions as comments. We’ll use your questions to shape the content. While you’re there, sign up for our blog news and tips (the name/email opt-in located in the middle column). This way you’ll automatically be among the first given the phone number and access code to the call. Space on the call will be limited so we recommend that you call in about 5 minutes early.
So go to the
blog post now, ask your question and sign up for more information. We look forward to your questions and hope you’ll join us on the free call Wednesday, January 14th.
About Story Circle Network and our Online ClassTo use their own words, Austin-based Story Circle Network “is dedicated to helping women share the stories of their lives and to raising public awareness of the importance of women’s personal histories.” They fulfill their mission in many ways: workshops, newsletters, publications, services, websites, blogs, online classes, writing circles and more. Membership is just $35.
But you don’t have to be a member to join our eight-week class called “
Start Small Finish Big: From Memoir Vignette to Publication, Part One.” Our goal is to cut your writing project down to size and get you started by writing vignettes. We use a series of instructional videos, creative exercises and weekly writing assignments to help you find your unique voice and develop your personal style of expression.
