About Me:
Ever since I was little, I have had an "entrepreneurial spirit". I have had “experience” with many different business opportunities, but I was never satisfied. They were great businesses but not my passion. After attending my first The Joy of Connecting event, I started to see my path open up. By the time I had been through my second event, my mind was made up. My passion has always been helping others with their businesses and empowering women to be the very best they can be. When I experienced The Joy of Connecting that is exactly what they do. So, I decided to create the same feeling through an online network. My site is called The 5 Second Commute. This online networking community provides a “comfortable” place for women to share their businesses as well as getting valuable information about all aspects of life. They are able to make really great personal and business connections. Once, I started the web site and saw how well it was received; I turned my attention to “live” networking events. What better place to go than exactly where I started. The Joy of Connecting was a perfect fit. The support and camaraderie that you receive from Bonnie Ross-Parker and the other ladies is phenomenal.

Because my passion is to help others be the best they can be, I am also working to help people improve their lives by improving their health through MonaVie and Melaleuca. MonaVie is a company built around the #1 superfood, the Acai Berry and the products that Melaleuca offers, replaces the toxic items in your home that you use everyday which over time makes you ill. Personally, MonaVie and Melaleuca have improved my health and the health of my household, and I have seen it do the same for many others. By improving your health, you can truly maximize every moment in your life.

By working for myself, I have the flexibility of working from home and being able to set my own hours. My most important position in life is the one of wife and mother. I want to be there for my family when they need me. I am able to do that with my businesses.

Discovering The Joy of Connecting was exactly what I needed to help me focus on what I was meant to do and I know it will do the same for you. The Joy of Connecting just makes sense. Not only is it a great way to market your business to women that you might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet, it's an opportunity to assist other women in building their dreams, and becoming successful. It is an opportunity to inspire and to be inspired. I am honored to be a part of this amazing program – a truly unique way to network and market your business in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The Joy of Connecting creates a way for women to connect through fellowship, heart-felt sharing and a genuine interest in one another. That is what it really is all about, helping others. Trust me; you will go away with more than you came with. I look forward to meeting you and helping you make the most of your business.

These are ten things that we can do for ourselves to maintain a positive self image. Sometimes we as women tend to forget about the "behind the scenes" things, like our own self-talk and self love. We have to embrace ourselves for all that we are to become the successful woman that we want to be in all parts of our lives. Enjoy!

1. Recognize your special qualities. Make a list of all your positive qualities -- not

including your physical traits. Are you kind?… Continue

Being who you were meant to be...

Do you know yourself? Do you like who you are? Do you even recognize the person staring back from the mirror? If you answered no to any of these questions, it is likely you let others define who you are.

How well do you really know yourself – your likes, dislikes, preferences? Not just in terms of movies, music, or clothes; but in the kind of job you have, the people you choose to be with, the everyday choices you make? Are you living the kind of life you want according to what you… Continue

Find Your Passion in the Compliments You are Given

Posted on January 10, 2009 at 4:27am 0 Comments

Are you still searching for a business that sparks a fire within you? Are you looking at businesses based on other people’s passions, thinking that if you do the business you will have the same passion and success as them? The first thing that you need to know is that you bring passion to the business; the business doesn’t bring passion to you. For many though, the problem is that they don’t know what their passion is or how to… Continue
