Your life is God's gift to you. What you do with your life is your Gift to God!

My name is Denise Gerrich and my story is the journey of a woman who has stepped out of a very difficult life into the life of her dreams. Only 9 months ago, I weighed 330 pounds and felt like I was drowning in a world of shame and disbelief that my world could ever change. Doctors told me that my blood pressure and poor health would probably keep me from seeing my next birthday unless I made drastic changes. That is when I heard about EMwomen.

Still living in Nashville, Tennessee, I connected to the EMwomen Online Social Network where I met some amazing women that seemed to love me beyond my obesity. After a short time in the community, I purchased some of the life coaching products (The Power Pack). My excitement grew so I became a Power Circle member and soon began to learn that God still has a divine plan for my life. Within a few weeks, I realized that I needed to make some drastic changes in my life, so I decided to move to Hot Springs, AR, the home of EMwomen. I left my job, my friends, and my comfort zone and moved to what would soon become the home and beginning of a brand new "Denise".

My first week in Hot Springs, I attended the EMwomen "EMerge" conference , where I learned how to think right, eat right, cook healthier meals, walk in my fat burning zone, and make better choices that would lead to my best life. Staci Wallace, founder of EMwomen, became my personal coach and helped me "think for success". Most people think I must have worked out a lot at a gym, sweating and going to bed in pain at night. But the truth is, although I walk 5 days a week in my fat burning zone (EMzone), I have still yet to go to a gym. EMwomen is different. EMwomen works with your emotional baggage and once that is removed, the physical weight seems to fall off.

When Staci took me through the "EMbracing Change" teaching, I realized that although I had tried every diet known to man, this was different. Now, I know how to make better choices every day and I feel great knowing that if I can do this ANYONE can do it!

One of the "better choices" I learned was that if I had to eat out at a restaurant, then I needed to choose a place that would partner with my goals of losing weight by offering healthier menu items. That is when Staci Wallace, founder of EMwomen, introduced me to Chick-fil-A's Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich.

Although I've learned, through EMwomen’s EMcafe Recipes, how to cook entire meals for under 10 grams. I try to eat 85% of my meals at home, but have also learned that with Chick-fil-A, I can maintain that goal with the healthy food choices they offer. For example, if I can’t eat at home, I head to Chick-fil-A and get the Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich, which is only 3 grams of fat (260 calories) and the fruit cup, which has zero fat and only 100 calories. I top that off with a bottle of water and know that I have made a GREAT decision that empowers my success as a healthier woman who has made a monumental life change.

Of course, delicious and nutritious food starts with only the best ingredients. Every day at Chick-fil-A, they start with boneless breast meat chicken and their fruit salad is made daily. I am so thankful for Chick-fil-A because they have offered me (and you) a delicious alternative when we can't eat at home.

I thank God for EMwomen and Chick-fil-A and am truly blessed to say that after only 9 months of eating right, walking five days a week, and thinking right, I have lost over 123 pounds!

If you want to learn more about my journey and how you, too, can lose weight and keep it off, visit my page at: www.emwomen.com. And for a full list of the Nutritional Information and quality people that stand behind the Chick-fil-A vision for empowering families, visit www.chick-fil-a.com.

Thank you, EMwomen and Chick-fil-A for showing me that there is hope and that with the right choices, anything is possible.

If you are ready to start your journey to living your best life now, I encourage you to get your EMwomen Power Pack and start your own life transformation today. If I can do it, you can too!

About Me:
I am a woman who has walked a road of transformation away from shame, depression and rejection. I will use my story to inspire women that their own transformation story is possible, and that they too can walk in their divine purpose.

I enjoy taking long drives in the mountains, or the countryside; while on those drives I enjoy taking a lot of pictures. As for other things I am an avid sports fan especially Chicago Cubs baseball, college football (Fighting Irish and Sooners) and Lady Vols basketball; and I enjoy playing softball. Also I like to curl up with a good book; study history and work on my family tree.

CHOICES

Posted on July 29, 2009 at 4:00pm 4 Comments

Life is made up of choices. Some choices lead to happiness and wellness, while others lead to sorrow and pain. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve really only had one choice to make and that was whether or not to eat from the tree of good and evil. Today, however, we have choices on every corner, on every channel, and at every mall.

Do we choose to eat healthy, life-sustaining meals or do we choose the convenient fast food option? Do we choose to pray or does prayer find… Continue
