About Me:: I'm a 31 year old proud wife and Mommy. My little toot, Aiden is now 21 months old and has recently been diagnosed with a rare medical disorder called Atypical HUS (AHUS). There is no cure for AHUS and it only effects about 300-600 people in the US, mostly children. As a result, Aiden's own body attacks itself when his immune system is stimulated causing destruction of his platelets, red blood cells and direct attacks on his kidneys. Aiden now has very little kidney function and relies of 12 hours of dialysis daily to remain "healthy" Please join us in prayer and belief that God will provide a cure. ...and pray for my sweet baby boy.

As those of you who have read our latest blog entries know we are working towards getting a “support & awareness” necklace or bracelet made for Aiden. The idea is for a cross made in sterling silver, “Aiden’s Cross”. The cross would be available for purchase and hopefully we will be able to work something out so that part of the proceeds can go to the Foundation for Children with Atypical HUS. It's easy to let yourself get discouraged. You make up your mind that you're going to do something(s) great!You "start strong" and a few days, weeks, months into it...BAM! Somebody/something/some circumstance throws a wrench in it and you feel like just giving up.
