Here in Arkansas the sun is shinning and the temp is just right for January. The only way it could be better would be if we were
headed to Tx to see the family or if they were headed this way. Thank God for phones and pics.

The presents are wrapped and ready to load in the van for their trip west. Just one more candy
to make and a suitcase to pack.
Cards have been pouring in and only a few made me cry. but it was the good kind of cry, the
Happy kind. I truly think my Mother waited til she knew I would be distracted with Grandsons
before she left me to join Dad in heaven. There always seems to a pattern and plan to all things.

I dread spending Christmas without my Mother this year and yet look forward to watching my Grandsons as they jump with excitment.
Thanksgiving was hard and I kept thinking of things like making her favorite dish or what time to pick her up. I do not feel guilty in enjoying
the day and yet I don't have my usual excitement in planning gifts, special dishes and decorating.
