About Me:: My name is Adriane Simmons. I founded GEMS (www.gemsgirl.com) empowerment group for girls in 2007. My path was crossed with Kara Norman and the two of us founded Jewels (www.jewelsgirl.com) and Jordan's Closet (an organization that we establish to provide clothes to children that are less fortunate than most). GEMS/Jewels and Jordan's closet are subsideraries of The Jordan Simmons Project. I lost my son, Jordan, years ago to S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). My quest is to have Jordan's name live on in a way that forever would touch the lives of children in a positive manner. My journey has been fullfilling to say the very least. I am still brought to excrutiating pain when I dwell on the sudden loss of my beautiful son. The Jordan Simmons Project brings me peace. I was a "one man show" for two years that scenario became overwhelming and quite challenging (having meetings with "myself", etc. lol!). I NEVER thought to give up. I HAD to make it happen. ....and along came Kara. Kara Norman's passionate vision to touch the lives of others and to assist women in fullfilling their dreams, has helped me in propelling The Jordan Simmons Project to another level. I truly thank you Kara. For any woman or girl that may read my comments, please know that NOTHING is impossible if you put your mind to it. You CAN achieve your goals. With all the chalenges and obstacles you may face on a daily basis. Keep peace and determination in your heart. Also, have a well thought out, realistic plan. "With all it's sham, drudery and broken dreams, it is still a BEAUTIFUL world" Continue to stive to reach your goals. You CAN make it happen. Be happy.

I am also great friends with Kara for about 7-8 years now. She is such an inspiration to everyone. It is great you two are working together to bless many women who are broken or who are trying to get on the path of life and to find themselves.
