I am a living testimony that God can take anyone at anytime with any area of bondage and give them total freedom. When I came to Staci Wallace and EMwomen only 12 months ago, I weighted 330 pounds and was told by doctors that I may not live to see my 42nd birthday. Not only was I obese and very ill, I was ravaged with guilt, shame, and pain from abuse and rape in my childhood. When Staci began coaching me and encouraging me to connect with other women on this network, I began to see that God had a plan for my life that did NOT include sickness or shame. After only 12 months and a lot of prayer and coaching, I am so grateful to say that I have lost over 135 pounds and found the freedom that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Staci's program, "The Ultimate Body Make-Over, God enabled me to recognize deep rooted emotional barriers that led me to a life of depression, isolation, and obesity. I've tried to lose weight in the past by working out or dieting, but Staci helps you discover the areas of bondage that lead to such symptoms. By breaking the chains of bondage due to years of sin in my life, I am truly free for the first time. Once I found that freedom, Staci and her team of coaches worked together to put me on the EMzone walking program where I walk 20-40 minutes a day in my fat burning zone. I eat EMcafe recipes, which are all under 10 grams of fat per meal, and I am finally loving myself and enjoying life. Staci Wallace and EMwomen have been a God-send to me and have helped me live again. The accountability, support, and friendship I have received during my journey will last a lifetime. Today, I attended your conference. It was an extraordinary event that changed my life! I took my teenage daughters to the concert even though they said, "Mom, why are you dragging us to this?" Well, after we were there and when it was all over, they both had tears in their eyes. My 13 year old said, "Mom, I want to do better. I want to follow God's purposes for my life." I left home at the age of 13 and never had anyone teach me about money or how to manage it. Recently, our finances were so bad we had to give our vehicles back in voluntary repossession. Then I attended Staci's Smart Money Workshop at River of Life Church in Hot Springs, AR. The concepts were so simple that it was like a lightbulb went off as I listened. I have just finished the EMbracing Change workshop and I thought it was amazing. I went to my first EMcircle meeting a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it. The next week, I showed up and discovered the guest speaker was a nationally acclaimed runner who started her own fitness apparel line. It was so inspiring because I have a dream to run a marathon one day and her story encouraged me to keep believing that anything is possible. Wow! What an amazing blog! I couldn't figure out why I am suddenly obsessed with this site and this sums it up perfectly. I've tried for years to pursue my dreams, and I always got knocked down by something going on in my life and it quickly collected dust until I dared to pick it up again. Now that I am really committed to launching my girls empowerment group, the same obstacles keep coming, like the loss of my grandmother and a lists of other things, but unlike before I am drawing on the power of 'sticking together' having people that hold me accountable and keep me going like the women here on EMcommunity. It's much harder to do things alone. When I log onto this site almost multiple times a day, it gives me that push I need to keep moving towards my dreams. Life happens, BUT when I get those encouraging comments from Staci and read the posts, I feel back on track to plow forward, and finish strong! Staci, I've lost 11 lbs!!! To some, that may not seem like much but I was so excited Sunday morning when we did our weigh in that I had lost any at all! It's been such a task before but I did what you said with the 20 minute "EMzone" walks and it has really helped!!! I attended the conference on Saturday after hearing about it through the newspaper and radio. I had no idea there were so many inspiring women in my hometown! About a month ago I got my GED after dropping out of high school in 2007, I was so proud of my self because I had finally finished something. During the time that I was working on my GED, I was accepted into college which was another blessing from God.
