Empowering Moms To Change Their World

Did you know that analysts have said that by the year 2015, 1 out of every 2 children will be diagnosed with diabetes in their lifetime? This group is dedicated to making sure that the moms of this group don't fall prey to those statistics while empowering them to help educate the children they reach daily to make better choices for a healthier future.

Empowering Moms is one of the life enhancing groups being offered as an outreach of the partnership between EMwomen, FirstFitness, and Gracies Gear . By providing moms the education, scholarships, tools, resources, and coaching they need, we are giving these women a chance regain their health, lose weight, and empower their families to break the statistics of obesity and diabetes plaguing so many.

EMWOMEN SCHOLARSHIPS: We have scholarships available for women and girls with a desire to transform their body and reinvent their life. Each woman or girl selected receives a full scholarship to the Ultimate Body Makeover, a 90 day program focused on helping individuals lose weight and keep it off by helping them get to the root issues of their behaviors, habits, and even addictions. In addition, they will receive product and supplements to support a 30 Day Cleansing and Weight Loss Program from First Fitness, as well as Walk/Run Coaching offered by Gracie Updyke from GraciesGearAndTraining.

If you want to be considered for a scholarship, tells us why you need, deserve, and want to change your body and transform your life.

Hi ladies! I am listening to an amazing call of 7 women in our scholarship program passionate about transforming their lives. Some are moms, some are grandmas, and a few are single young women. Hello everyone. I am a mother of a 3 year old little girl. I was married and have been divorce for about 2 years. As you can see, I just became a single mother and it's a new territory for me. It was much easier when I was married, but the Lord has graced me. Even though it has been a little rough, I've enjoyed every moment w/ my daughter as a single mother.

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took the small boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.

Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE." When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that her son was missing.

Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."

Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obligatio.

Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.

That's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But with the hand of the Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful.

Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing." Feel His loving arms around you. Know that His strong hands are playing the concerto of your life.

Remember, God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. And He'll always be there to love and guide you onto great things.

Ladies, today is a day of privilege in the United States of America. What an honor to live in a country where we have the distinct blessing of being able to be a part of the political process. As I took my children with me to vote this morning, I explained to them the beauty of freedom and what our vote means in this country. It was like a day at the zoo for them as they sat beside me in wide eyed wonder.

I urge you, if you have not already voted, to go now and let your voice be heard. Engage your children and instill in them the beauty of our freedoms. Your vote can and will make a difference!

Oh boy! No actually 2 girst! Becoming a mom was a huge shock to me. Of course I knew it was coming but I didn't know WHAT was coming! I struggled. At the age of 39 I had two babies, 10 months and 2 weeks apart. It was totally crazy. I hadn't coped until recently. The youngest is now 2 and I'm 42! Shame. I was a hard working career girl before and now my life has changed completely. Things that never bothered me before now bother me. I did find something really nice recently though. Healthy chocolate. My girls love chocolate and always ask for some but I have to keep saying NO! The poor little things are so deprived. BUT NOW WITH THIS HEALTHY CHOCOLATE I can give them some every day. It's wonderful to be able to spoil my little girls with something healthy, that they love, and I know it's just going to be beneficial for them. You must discover it for yourself. Have a look at http://mxi.myvoffice.com/worthwhileluxury I know this will help some of you keep your little ones healthy. It is so hard to get them to eat the good stuff. :-)

Thought of the day:

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;

When the funds are low, and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but have to sigh;

When care is pressing you down a bit-

Rest if you must, but do not quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;

And you can never tell how close you are

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-

It's when things go wrong that you must not quit.

My advice to all parent's get past your fears which is false evidents appearing real. Only list to the parent's who has wisdom and don't listen to people that doesn't know about parenting. They might have good intentions but you have to learn from experience not from a book. We all makes mistakes and hopefully learn from then. I have 11 yr old boy which I may not know how to relate to sometimes but it does help to have a man around the house to teach them things that women don't feel comfortable about.
