Angie, After many months of ICU, doctor's visits, cat scans, platelets, chemotherapy, MRIs and other "extensive" tests being run on my mother-in-law, I would strongly suggest a second opinion and much prayer before running random tests on your body.

I am convinced, more than ever, that medicine is more of a hit or miss process than an exact science. There is a reason why doctors say "We PRACTICE medicine." It is because they don't know all the answers so they test, prod, poke, run scans, all in order to hopefully find those answers.

I am a BIG believer that if your body is not functioning according to your expectations, there are a few "Must dos".

1. Pray......Ask God for wisdom. Ask God for your desired result. Ask God to give you the courage to believe in a good report. And finally, ask God for wisdom. (Did I mention to ask God for wisdom?)

2. Only believe. No matter what a doctor or report might say....only believe in your desired end. That does not mean to avoid medical assistance, but it does mean to believe in what you want to see. See yourself as whole. "Whatsoever a man thinketh (believes) in his heart, so is he." If you see yourself as unable to bare children, you will be unable to bare children. If you see yourself as sick...(you get the picture). So see your body as whole, healthy, fully vital and operating according to perfect health.

3. Seek medical clarification. If a doctor is asking to perform something other than a routine procedure, it is your duty and responsibility to ask questions, get understanding, seek a second opinion and gain clarification on why those procedures are being recommended.

I say all that, not to discourage the use of doctors or medicines, but to encourage you to use wisdom. Recognize your body as your responsibility and your asset. Use wisdom. Seek advice. Trust God for answers. Seek a multitude of counsel. Then move forward with confidence.

4. Be at peace. Make your request known before God and then rest in peace, knowing that He will handle it and in due season you will reap if you don't give up!

Long answer to a very touchy and worthy question. I love you and pray for your wisdom and victory. I pray that your womb will be opened, ready and able to conceive and bring a beautiful, healthy baby to full term.

I recently lost a baby of my own and I have a doctor running all kinds of tests on me. I haven't heard of them taking a scan of my brain though. Is there nothing else they can test for? I would ask the doctor to maybe explain it again so you understand why it's necessary. Let me know how things are goin.

Ok, i have been debating to ask this question that i have been trying to figure out~... i miscarried in Augest of 07 and didn't have a period for like 5 months, So i went to the doctor and they ran a bunch of tests and was going to put me on birth control and hope it will jump start it. But the next day i started a period so the doctor told me not to take the birth control~ So i was happy and we finally get to start trying again. Well the following month i didn't start so i waited a week hoping to start but still didn't. Well i didn't have a period all that month, but the following month i did.

The doctor told me that is not normal and something could be wrong with my brain not sending the right messages to my ovaries? and might want to send me to get a brain scan.

But i have talked to women before and they have all said everyone is different.

So i guess what am wanting to know is if anyone can help me understand or has anyone have ever gone through something similar? Because to me what the doctor said was a little weird.

So can anyone help me! please... :)

Leann, what an amazing victory for you! I know you have struggled lately and your email below tells me you are leaning the right direction. I received an email from another gal who said the article on depression really spoke to her heart and gave her a boost. I know that temporary trials are the breeding ground for life changing testimonies. Keep on keepin' on, girlfriend. Let's talk tomorrow!

Last night I couldn't sleep because it felt like there was this rock bearing down on my chest and I was trying to figure out what to do so I got up and walked around for a little while. I was trying to ease it but it just wouldn't go away but something in my head was telling me I needed to pray but I was like that won't work. So I just sat that and thought maybe if I did pray that rock would go away, so for the first time in a long time I got on my knees and started praying. I gave God that rock that had been bearing down on my chest and now I truly believe that I can do all things through Christ who strenthens me. This morning I got up and I felt like I could conquer anything with the Lord leading me all the way.

Ok, I have a question that I wish somebody would answer for me. I have tried everything there is to try and kill myself and it is because I am bipolar. I want to know if there is anything I can do to try and stop this urge of suicide?

I actually have Mirena as birth control. It is a small device that is inserted into my uterus and lasts up to 5 years. I must say I have had absolutely NO complications with it. I had it inserted almost 3 years ago. The procedure is a teeny bit painful.... only takes a few minutes and there is a bit of cramping and light spotting for 2 to 3 days afterwards...I am personally very pleased.

Is Marina the new birth control they are suggesting for all young women to take despite their sexual activity?
